Event configuration > Event details >Event Brand > Hosts
Host Chat is a form of Two-way communication between a Host & a Guest.
Step 1 Setting up a Host for the event
From the side menu
> Select 'Event configuration'
> Select 'Event details'
> Choose 'Host' tab
Here you can Add a profile as the Host for your event.
Step 2 Enabling Host Chat for the Mobile App
From the side menu
> Select 'Event configuration'
> Select 'Event Brands'
> Choose the Event brand that Hosts are going to use.
> Then "Action's" button and 'Change Theme'
This will take you to the Theme builder to configure items on the Mobile App interface.
> Select 'Menu'
> Scroll down till you see the 'Add Feature' button, you can then enable - Host Chat for the Host's event brand (this will now show on the side menu of the App)
> For the Guests event brand - they will need to have the 'Chat feature added instead of Host Chat.
How to send a Host Chat from the Host
Open the Host branded App and sign in
> From the Side-Menu select 'Host Chat'
How to send a chat to the host
Open the Guest branded App and sign in
> From the Side-Menu select 'Chat'
> The Guest can then send a message
To note: The Guest must incite the conversation first. So that the Host can reply. The Host does not have the option to select a guest to 'chat'.
The left image shows how the chat inbox for the Hosts looks.
The Right-side image shows the guests view, when they open 'Chat'.
